Ford Transit Phone Mount (Pre 2020)

I wanted a way to mount my phone without having to stick double sided tape to the dash (which never works at holding a heavy phone).  The alternative was to screw the mount to the dash, which I did and regret :')  Now I have an option for others that want a good phone mount, at the perfect angle, out of the way and the installation is literally 20 seconds. 

The mount is designed to replace the "useless pocket" next to the steering wheel.  You literally pull the rubber piece out by pushing on it with your finger and pop this in.  It's literally that easy.  The angle is 5 degrees clockwise so it tilts the phone towards the driver and the vertical angle is adjustable still.  When inserted, using mostly friction, the mount is extremely secure and feels great. 

Having the phone there is great for monitoring victron systems or viewing forscan gauges while still having carplay doing its thing.  The cost of this item is mostly in my cost of getting the mount. I opted out for creating my own because the mount itself is great, cheap and I've been using it for years so I know it works.
